Katie Price says she was relieved no one was hurt after 'rock bottom' drink-drive crash

Katie Price has confessed to feeling "thankful" no one was hurt in a drink-drive incident.

The glamour model, 44, opened up to GB News host Nigel Farage about the incident and openly admitted there was "no excuse" for her actions on the night in September 2021.

She flipped her car during the accident near her home in Sussex and was handed a 16-week suspended prison sentence, a two-year driving ban and 100 hours of community service after admitting to drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance.

She revealed to the presenter the crash led to her hitting rock bottom and feeling suicidal, saying: "There’s no excuse. I’m just thankful that I didn’t hurt anyone.

"I did hit rock bottom. I’ve tried to kill myself. I could not have got any more bottom that I did."

Thankfully, the star insisted she's in a better place now and is currently "sorting myself out". She continued: "There’s more to come from me, and I plan to be bigger and better.”

Her words mirror what she said on the same channel just days earlier when speaking to Mark Dolan. In that chat, the mum-of-five revealed she undergoes weekly therapy sessions and spoke about the tragic revelation that she no longer wanted to live during her lowest point.

She said: " What I want from the future is to definitely make a comeback and prove to people I can, because I've been there, and I've told my story.

"Literally, I hit rock bottom. It was that bad that I tried to commit suicide, but I've come up from that. You can get out of that rut. If I can do it, you can do it."

Elsewhere in her discussion with Nigel, Katie also opened up on her split from Carl Woods, saying she's "done" with marriage and the idea of it.

Katie had previously chatted to Mark Dolan (GB NEWS)

The pair were expected to tie the knot after he popped the question in April 2021. However, their public split halted any chance of the former Love Island contestant being her fourth husband.

And when Nigel tried to quiz her on the subject, she joked: "Don't worry, you're not going to be my next husband - I'm done with that."
