The star told Lorraine that she had recently received mental health support and is planning to have therapy for the rest of her life.
"Obviously I’ve done another stint in The Priory and that wasn’t rehab, that was nothing to do with alcohol or drugs, it was severe PTSD again," she said on the show.
"I was in there due to what people had done to me that led me up to the car accident, that led me up to go into The Priory.
"And I’ve decided to have therapy every week for the rest of my life."
The star also opened up about the work she'd had done, admitting that she had recently had a brow lift.
Lorraine told Katie: "I'm looking at you now and I want to say, don't have anymore work done, you're fine."
Katie replied: "You sound like my mother."
After explaining her mum's reaction to her brow lift, Katie said that she'd told her mother: "Just realise, I'm in my forties now, I did my whole career natural - apart from the boobs - I am gonna have surgery [...] It's what I want, just accept it and don't drive yourself mad."
Lorraine noted that she was one of the few that is very honest about having work done
"You know and I know there’s so many people out there who have these little tweaks and they’re like ‘Are you joking? I’m natural’ and I’m like ‘No, you’re not’," Kate said.
Defending her decision to get surgery, she added: "I’m in my forties so why not? Everyone knows I’m gonna do it and everyone picks on me for it but I’ll try these things."
