Katie Price's son Harvey struggles with college life as he destroys the college shop within weeks

Katie Price's son Harvey has been struggling with college life - and destroyed the college shop within weeks of going there.

Harvey, 19, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, autism and a learning disability, is away from home for the first time as he studies at the National Star College, reports the Mirror.

And the reality star whose show 'What Harvey Did Next' will air on Monday, 7 March at 9PM on BBC One, became frustrated within days of arriving at the college.

The documentary shows how much loved Harvey tried to adjust to life away from home and his famous mum, as college staff work out how to deal with his ever changing behaviours.

Harvey became upset after he was told about his daily plan and appears to have found it difficult to cope with the expectation put on him.

In the moving and hard to watch scene, Harvey bashes his head against the wall , crying and falling to the floor.

However, the caring and insightful college staff manage to calm him down and bring him back into the moment by using deep breaths reminding him to 'use his words'.

The series also shows staff reminding Harvey how to take his medication by filming him doing it for Katie back home.

Harvey is doing work experience in the college shop but when his anxiety climbs he smashes up a bathroom door.

Managing to clam him down, staff get Harvey back to work and to everyone's joy he decorates the wall with an array of stars.

His carer says: "Sometimes, Harvey does need to break something.

"In that case, we can only keep Harvey as safe as possible. We let him break that item and the we remove it because for Harvey, that's when it's over. That's when it's finished."

Katie, has said before that she was 'relieved' when she discovered that Harvey had been smashing up his room.

She reckons it meant that he felt 'extremely settled' in his new surroundings.

Katie told OK! Magazine recently: "I said to the staff at the college, 'I'm so happy that he's done all this because now I know he's really settling in. They are now living and breathing what I've had all of these years."

Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next will air on Monday, 7 March a 9PM on BBC One.
