Katie Price's mum has delivered a scathing appraisal of her daughter's "utterly toxic" former lovers – including Peter Andre, whom she branded "controlling".
Amy, 71, has penned a new book, The Last Word, about her life as an average working class woman – who happens to be the mother of one of the UK's most notorious celebrities.
And if 45-year-old Katie's exes weren't already trembling in their boots about the contents of the book, out on July 6, then they might be now.
Speaking to about the book, she mused upon some of the realisations she had about her eldest daughter's taste in men as she reflected upon her life and said many of Katie's exes have 'similar traits'.
She told. The Sun: “I think it’s fair to say from my point of view that Dane Bowers and Peter Andre were men who liked to be in control and prioritised furthering their own careers.“
Amy scathingly said how the pair 'used' their romances with Katie 'for their own gains.
Katie and Pete, now 50, met when they competed on I'm A Celeb in 2004, falling madly in love in the jungle and marrying the next year. They split in 2009, divorced in March 2012. They share two children, Junior, 18, and Princess, 15, together.
A representative for Peter Andre has been approached for comment about Amy's claims.
Amy didn't stop there, and highlighted other similarities between some of Katie's other ex partners, including her current on-off fiancé Carl Woods, too.
“Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler were complex exhibitionists who came along when Kate was at her lowest ebb and her most recent suitor is of a similar ilk,“ she said in reference to Katie's ex-fiancée Carl Woods.
She said how Alex Reid referring to himself as Mrs Katie Price 'says it all' while Kieran Hayler and Carl 'crave fame' and 'used Kate as a springboard' to further their own careers on social media and in the spotlight.
Other big claims made by Katie's mother include wanting to have the the mum-of-five sectioned after she crashed her BMW in 2021. as she feared it was an attempt to kill herself after she hit "rock bottom".
Describing it as a situation that "no parent ever imagines having to deal with", Amy explained: “It had all come to a head. After all the years of failed relationships, betrayals by friends, duplicitous managers, and the painful loneliness she had experienced all her life.“
