Katie Price’s on-off fiancé Carl Woods has hinted he may come to regret signing up for a Mixed Martial Arts contest as he admitted he has been getting ‘smashed about’ in training.
The 33-year-old one-time Love Island contestant has set himself up to take a pounding as part of a celebrity MMA fight that is due to take place next month.
He is training alongside stars including James Lock and Aisleyne Horgan Wallace as they all prepare to fight on camera in Wembley.
The event – which will include 16 celebs who will have trained for 12 weeks ahead of fight night – will be streamed live via PPV internationally.
Carl has been documenting his own training via social media – and showed himself in the gym with a training partner who warned him: "There's no bad blood, but at the end of the day you're getting your head caved in."
Carl then said: "Another day of training. This is the geezer who's going to smash me about today."
Carl then hinted he thinks he is training harder than his co-stars as he panned the camera around to show that he and his friend were effectively the only people in the gym.
He quipped: “Empty gym. Where are you all? We're winners."
Carl is due to face off against Geordie Shore star Robbie McMahon when the fighting begins on June 24th in London.
Ruby league star Andrew Henderson, Ninja Warrior UK performer Choon Tan, boxer Aides Henry aka Likkleman, and boxer Natasha Sweeney are taking part.
As are Love Island star AJ Bunker, athlete Carla Howie, actor Josh Myers, sprinter Theo Campbell, podcaster James English, Ex on the Beach star Callum Izzard and Stoarge Hunters’ Sammy Bartlett are also taking part.
Former Big Brother star Aisleyne is still expecting to take part – despite being rushed to hospital last week.
The left fans worried when she revealed she’d been rushed off for emergency treatment, telling fans online: "I have mild pneumonia... not cool.
“I’ve been suffering with my health a lot lately, another reason I really want to get my physical health back up to scratch..."
She continued: “The past 36 hours have been a blur... So tired of getting ill but nothing will defeat me... I will bounce back, stronger. That's a fact"
And it really does sound like she’s not slowing down at all despite her health issues.
She told The Sun on Tuesday that she has been enjoying romps with her boyfriend despite her recent health battles.
She told the publication: "I've got a toyboy and he's got a high sex drive so I've got to keep up with him.
"He's such a horny b***** we had to do it at least once after my accident.
"I had loads and loads of painkillers and we had to find a position where we could do it.”
