Carl Woods made a thinly-veiled dig at Katie Price as he helped her renovate her Mucky Mansion.
The on again off again couple appear stronger than ever in the new series of the Channel 4 show, which airs this evening at 10pm, with Carl stepping in to help Katie out with the renovation of the top floor of her home.
She's keen to make the place somewhere she can live forever after previously admitting it has been a place with bad memories for her. Wanting to turn it around, Katie and Carl have set to work renovating the mansion once and for all.
During tonight's episode, Carl appeared to make a dig at Katie as he helped her paint the walls of the bedroom black.
"I think this house will be great for Kate when it's done, for her mind. I think it's a weight on her head. I think when this house is done, it'll be a weight off her mind. It'll be great for her. Hopefully the kids will want to spend more time with her then," he said.
"She's definitely had a lot of problems here. That's for sure," before Katie chimed in to thank him for helping her go back.
She told him: "It was you who that got me back in here anyway," whilst Carl went on to add: "When I first met her, she bought me up to the house and she was literally just throwing this house away and putting it off in her mind. But to be fair, with her, the big problems she buries her head from and the little problems she thinks are huge."
Katie seemed hopeful about the change, adding: "Turning the house upside down and inside out and bringing it back to life."
There has been speculation the pair are back together, but Katie has since confirmed she's single.
She told The Mirror: "I like being on my own. I’m single and love my own space. I’m just enjoying time with the kids and I want to throw myself into work," before adding she had bumped into Carl in Thailand and they weren't on holiday together.
The pair split last year, when Carl said he was incredibly "embarrassed" to make the announcement of them parting ways and claimed Katie had confessed she had slept with another man, prompting him to call time on their relationship.
"So yeah, that's the end of that. I guess I'm just gonna focus on rebuilding myself and get my life back on track. And concentrating on me but that's done," Carl told his Instagram followers at the time.
