Reality TV star Katie Price, 46, has once again captured headlines with her unconventional yet deeply personal approach to motherhood. In a recent bombshell admission, she announced she “has triplets,” a revelation that has left fans and critics alike reeling with surprise and curiosity.
Last October, Price sparked widespread speculation when she posted an enigmatic photograph of what appeared to be two newborn babies, their faces deliberately obscured. The image left many wondering about her family plans. However, in a recent update, the star clarified that the photos featured twin life-like dolls—a representation of her ongoing fertility struggles. Not only did she reveal the existence of these two dolls, but she also confirmed that she has now added a third one to the collection, according to Lance Live.
In her Channel 4 series, Making Babies, Price has been candid about the emotional rollercoaster of her fertility journey. The lifelike dolls have become a source of comfort amid a long battle with infertility. For Price, these dolls symbolize more than just replicas of babies; they are a therapeutic outlet during an otherwise isolating and challenging period of her life.
While some may label adults who embrace reborn dolls as “mad,” Price insists there is a far deeper, more compassionate reason behind her choice. She clarified: “I haven’t got twins, I’ve got triplets. I don’t know how it happened. I think I was looking for real life babies at the time. And I found this company that do babies for this reason.”
To provide further context, Price read out a description from the company’s website, which detailed the various supportive benefits their dolls offer. The statement explained: “They help with people with social anxiety, communication difficulties, those who have suffering grief from a loss of a baby, PTSD, infertility, anxiety and depression.
“Furthermore, it has been proven to have therapeutic benefits, particularly for people with dementia, where the doll can spark memories of their own children”, according to the Mirror.
Price has openly acknowledged that accepting her inability to conceive naturally has been a “lonely” and emotionally taxing experience, often triggering bouts of depression and anxiety. “So, it is a serious thing,” she continued. “I never spoke about it. But when I got them, I took a risk of ‘Do I post it or not?’ because it’s not a gimmick thing.”
Despite the heartache and the hurdles of her fertility treatments—including multiple hormone injections, blood tests, scans, and even a surgical egg retrieval operation that led to three unsuccessful IVF attempts—Price remains steadfast in her desire to grow her family. Already a mother to Harvey (22), Junior (19), Princess (17), Jett (11), and Bunny (10), she is undeterred by setbacks. “I can still carry a baby, I can still try one of my one per cent eggs or surrogacy, there’s lots of ways,” she added on her podcast, The Katie Price Show.”Anyone in my position, you don’t need to give up, there are ways, I still want kids and I’m not giving up.”
Now, with renewed hope and the support of her current partner, Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, Katie Price is exploring fresh avenues to achieve her dream of having more children. Her unabashed honesty and determination continue to inspire many who face similar fertility challenges.
