Katie Price is paying thousands of pounds each month to heat her 'Mucky Mansion'.
The former glamour model, 44, is seeing her bank balance suffer during the current cost of living crisis, as faces possibly forking out tens of thousands of pounds annually in order to keep her 19-room farmhouse warm and cosy.
Mum-of-five Katie - who recently split from on-off fiance Carl Woods - purchased what is now known as the Mucky Mansion at the peak of her success in 2014 but years of neglect, floods and cash flow problems saw it fall into disarray - with the reality TV star at one point moving into rented accommodation.
But following the success of her Channel 4 show documenting the plucky star doing her best to restore the property to its former glory, Katie's Mucky Mansion is once again habitable - but at a pricey cost!
Speaking in a new interview, Katie told The Sunday Times : "I’ve got the radiators on full but it’s crazy, the oil heating bill’s three grand every four or five weeks."
The reality TV star mused how it may have been cold in the room they were conducting the interview in because her eldest son Harvey Price, 20, broke a window the previous day.
Katie's energy bill admission comes as she prepares to attend a hearing about her debts next year.
The two-time I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star was once thought to be worth £30million but was declared bankrupt in 2019 after racking up debts of £3.3million.
A hearing at London’s Royal Courts of Justice will take place on 8 February to reexamine the star's debts.
Katie reportedly lost £1million on her infamous Mucky Mansion property, thanks to a spate of burglaries and falling into into disrepair.
The OnlyFans content creator purchased the once-lavish abode from former Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude in 2014 for £2m, but a combination of things has seen the star's West Sussex home plummet in value.
The mum-of-five was said to be horrified earlier this year when she learned how the property is now worth less than what she purchased it for back in 2014.
"Katie knew it was in a bad state, but when she found out it's now worth less than a million - half its original value - while filming the new show, it was a real shock," a source from the star's new Channel 4 show told The Sun.
"She's going to do everything she can to get it back to it's former glory and make it worth something again. It's a real disaster for her."
Elsewhere in her new interview, Katie pledged to open a beauty salon on her property one day - explaining how she has had enough "Botox, fillers, all that" throughout her life to know what's good and what's not.
The star added how she has the car parking space available to welcome customers and pays council tax.
