Katie Price relied on Google Translate during her two year romance with Leandro Penna before she dumped him because he "got on her nerves".
The 45-year-old met the South American model at the Academy Awards in 2011, and they began dating soon after. They split eight months later, but quickly reunited as Leandro popped the question, however the couple ended things for good in 2012.
In the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she spoke with sister Sophie about the doomed romance, and confessed the language barrier between them became a problem very quickly.
Her younger sister admitted she fancied Leandro, and called him “stunning” and “beautiful”, and Katie recalled first setting eyes on the hunky model at the Oscars.
“I was there with my friend Gary and he's gay and we saw this guy walk past and we were like, 'Oh my god look at him’,” she said.
Katie joked she thought he was gay at first so didn’t make a move, but bumped into him at the toilets and immediately realised he couldn’t speak English… and she couldn’t speak Spanish.
“He ended up moving to England and I was with him nearly two years and we couldn't speak each other's language it was all Google Translate, how mad is that?” she laughed. "That is mad. See I am a patient person."
The mum-of-five then shared intimate details of her sex life with Leandro, and revealed she couldn’t tell him what she liked in bed due to the language barrier.
“It only becomes awkward when you're in bed because if something happens you can't go, 'it hurts!’” Katie giggled. “It is weird and you can't argue because you can't speak each other's language but he got on my nerves in the end,” she said, as sister Sophie laughed, and jokingly called her a “cow”.
"You'd watch TV and he'd want subtitles on and all that and I'd be like 'Ugh!’” Katie added.
The couple split for good in October 2012, and Katie released a statement reflecting on her "deep affection" for the Argentinian hunk.
