Katie Price called her mum Amy a 'plonker' after she caught her sobbing during Britain’s Got Talent.
The former glamour model was watching Saturday’s edition of the hit ITV show, as judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon overseeing auditions, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly watching from the side of the stage.
During the episode, the four judges were visibly moved as acts including young dance groups bravely taking to the stage and performing in front of millions of people watching at home.
Katie shared a video to Instagram on Saturday, documenting her and mum Amy watching the show, and the clip revealed the moment the mum-of-five caught the 70-year-old sobbing at the TV.
“Mum we're only watching Britain's Got Talent. What are you crying for?! You're such a plonker. I'm going to show everyone this!” Katie said mockingly.
“No you're not,” Amy said, as she wiped away the tears from her eyes.
“Oh I am. I'm going to show everyone that deep down I am like you, I do have a heart, especially when you cry at Britain's Got Talent,” the former reality star stated.
Captioning the post on Instagram, she told her 2.7 million followers she was similar to her mum, who she called “soft”.
“Love how soft my family really is . I so take after my mum she is such a donut sometimes,” Katie wrote, alongside laughing face emojis.
Her fans were tearful over Amy’s emotional reaction to the ITV talent show, and shared their love for Katie’s mum in the comments on the post.
“Your mom is a sweetie!” one wrote.
“I love your mom,” another commented.
While others noticed just how close Katie and Amy’s bond was.
“Love how close u all are, it’s amazing,” one wrote.
“Aww you are all such a close lovely family,” another added.
Katie has previously shared her adoration for her mum, who has been battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which causes scarring to the lungs.
Amy was diagnosed with the terminal condition in 2017.
