Katie Price in Tears as Son Harvey Nears 30 Stone and Faces 'Life-Threatening' Health Crisis

Katie Price has shared her heartbreak over her son Harvey’s rapidly worsening health, revealing he’s now dangerously close to weighing 30 stone. The 22-year-old, who lives with Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, and autism, has long struggled with his weight, but things have now reached a worrying point.

Katie opened up to her followers on Snapchat, saying: “I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone.” She added, “It’s so life-threatening now, I’m still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the Mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life”, according to the Daily Star.

Harvey’s condition leaves him feeling constantly hungry, making it nearly impossible for him to manage his food intake. Katie said it’s taken a toll on his quality of life: “He’s so big, he just can’t really do much. He struggles to put his trainers on, he struggles to walk anywhere.”

She continued, “It’s just another thing I have to deal with because he’s at high risk of having a heart attack… but I love him and I’m going to help him through this. So sad, obesity and his condition is sad, it’s sad to see someone go through it and he doesn’t understand.”

Earlier this year, Katie revealed that doctors were trying out weight loss jabs in a last-ditch effort to help Harvey regain some control over his health. Speaking to The Sun, she explained: “The good thing about starting him on the drug is, if it has any effect, you can stop it because you do it weekly.”

Katie, 46, said they’ve already tried everything else — food plans, dietitians, and more. “It’s just the way he is,” she admitted. “And he’s on a lot of medication which the drug won’t affect.”

Doctors have recommended that Harvey try the injections for at least one to two years. “They’ll control what level he needs, then up it as they assess it,” Katie said, adding that this could finally be a turning point if it works.

Through it all, Katie has remained fiercely protective of her son, saying she’ll keep doing everything she can to help him live a healthier life — even if it breaks her heart in the process.
