Katie Price has been able to heal from her past traumas after baring her heart and soul in her new bombshell documentary on mental health.
The former glamour model, 44, has been through a rough time of it in recent years, and her mental wellbeing has taken a toll because of the ups and downs which the mum-of-five has navigated her way through.
In her new eye-opening Channel 4 documentary, Katie speaks candidly about her diagnosis of PTSD and she also explores what drove her to total breaking point last year when she crashed her vehicle while under the influence.
Katie is now taking the steps needed prevent a return to the dark days, and believes that her past trauma has been healed by going back and revisiting where everything went wrong for her.
The former glamour model has now reportedly told her pals that she's entirely ready to put the years of turmoil behind her as she sets her sights on a brighter future with fiancé, Carl Woods, and her five children.
The eye-opening documentary on Channel 4 saw Katie open up about the darkness inside her which led her to get behind the wheel of her car while intoxicated and under the influence - before crashing her vehicle.
Thankfully, Katie was unharmed in the accident, and no other drivers on the road were hurt, but the TV star admitted that she was wracked with guilt about the possibility of taking someone else's life while driving under the influence.
"I got in my car, had a collision. I regret it. I have upset people around me, and I have upset myself," she told.
"I could have been hurt or I could have been dead. I could have killed someone, or I could have injured someone."
Following the series of traumatic events, a source close to Katie has told NEW! Magazine that by revisiting her night of 'darkness', she was able to work through some of the trauma thanks to the documentary.
"Katie's documentary has been such an emotional rollercoaster for her. Reliving some of the most traumatic experiences of her life has been difficult but rewarding," the insider told.
"Opening up about her struggles and trauma has given Katie the opportunity to finally come to terms with her wrongdoing and learn to forgive herself.
"She feels relieved. She feels as though a huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders. Speaking of the regrets of her past has allowed Katie to heal."
