Katie Price appears to drive uninsured and untaxed car as she returns to roads after ban

Katie Price appears to have been driving an uninsured and untaxed car, the Mirror can reveal.

The 44-year-old recently returned to driving following a two-year ban and in our exclusive pictures taken on Monday she is driving an Infiniti coupe SUV owned by her on-off fiance Carl Woods' family.

Katie was seen driving a black Infinity car in Crawley as she headed home from a charity shop where she was carrying out community service after she was handed an 18-month order to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work last year.

The car worth £14,995 is showing as uninsured and untaxed on the national database and was last registered in March 2016 when it was purchased by a business registered to a member of Carl Woods' family.

The Mirror approached the business and was told that the car had been taxed on Monday but the DVLA takes 'two to five' days to update its website.

We were also told the vehicle has been registered to Katie despite it having been bought by Bespoke Automotive Ltd.

The former model is currently serving community service at a hospice charity shop after breaching a restraining order by sending abusive messages to her ex-husband Kieran Hayler about his fiancée Michelle Penticost.

Katie was banned from driving for two years in December 2021 but was not ordered to take an extended driving test before getting back behind the wheel.

She completed a drink drive reduction course, reducing the disqualification of 24 months by 24 weeks.

In September 2021, Katie was involved in a one-car traffic accident that saw her BMW car flipped on a country road after she got behind the wheel under the influence, without insurance and whilst under a driving ban.

She admitted drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance after the crash near her home in Sussex.

However, after her sixth driving ban was lifted on Friday, the 44-year-old was quick to get back behind the wheel and drove herself home from her community service.

An insider close to Katie tells Mirror: "Katie feels relieved to finally have her license back. She feels as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders."

"Katie always seems to get herself in trouble. Because of her celebrity status she thinks she’s invincible."

In September 2021, Katie swerved jail over her latest driving offence - in a move that even her own judge branded "lucky."

District Judge Kelly sentenced the mum-of-five to a 16 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months at Crawley Magistrates' Court.

It was Katie's first suspended prison sentence but was not the first time that the ex-model has found herself in hot water with the law when behind the wheel of a car with her being banned from driving six times in the last 10 years.

In 2021 Katie was pulled from the wreckage of her BMW X5 after being found slumped in the passenger seat by a passer-by.

She was almost twice the drink-drive limit and tested positive for cocaine.

Last year, Katie revealed she attempted suicide after hitting 'rock bottom' following her drink-driving arrest.

Mirror has contacted Katie's representative for comment.
