Katie Price criticised for posting ‘problematic’ video of son Harvey

Katie Price has come under fire after posting a video of her son Harvey on social media that some fans deemed ‘problematic’.

The 44-year-old star is currently enjoying a family holiday with Harvey, 20, and two of her other children, eight-year-old Jett and Bunny, seven. Katie shared a video of Harvey to her Instagram page, showing her son going down a giant slide at a waterpark.

But the clip quickly attracted a flurry of comments from worried fans, The Mirror reports . Many of Katie’s followers showed concern for Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, as the video appeared to show him struggling on the slide as his body turned sideways.

One person wrote to mum-of-five Katie in the comments section: “I know you probably don't see anything wrong with this video as you obviously know your son more than anyone else in the world, but to the outside person, this is kind of problematic and you should maybe consider taking it down.”

“Why would you post this? It’s not nice,” another asked.

A third said: “Are we ignoring the fact he was using his head as a brake from half way down?” “Looks like he’s hitting his head the whole way down,” added a fourth follower.

But a spokesperson for the star reassured fans that Harvey was unharmed by the experience. “Harvey absolutely loved going on the waterslide,” they told The Sun.

“He really enjoys being in the water and experiencing new things. This was his first time on a waterslide and he was thrilled!” The Mirror has contacted Katie’s representatives for further comment.
