Katie Price has secured a second series of her Channel 4 makeover show - and a £45,000 pay day.
The 43-year-old star has reportedly bagged a second series of her Channel 4 show, which saw her attempt to start renovating the family's huge 10 acre property. The three episode series aired earlier this year, where Katie planned to switch up and change the home in abid to rid the house of the bad memories and traumatic events and create a happy home and sanctuary for her family.
At the time, Katie had revealed she was doing a lot of the work herself, all of which was documented in the three-part series.
"My house has been called the Mucky Mansion in the past, but it’s not that anymore, I’m making it a home," she said at the time.
"I’m getting my hands dirty and doing a lot of the work myself and, with the help of my amazing family and some brilliant friends, I’m putting the past behind me and rebuilding. My house is a bit like my life, it’s being put back together like I’m being put back together."
Now a source has revealed that Katie will be back for a new series - and will receive a £45,000 pay out for her trouble.
"C4 were really pleased with the reaction to the show - and Katie jumped at the chance to sign up for a second series," an insider told The Sun, "The house is far from finished so she needs all the help she can get."
Representatives for Channel 4 and Katie Price have been contacted for comment.
At the time of the announcement of the first series of Mucky Mansion, Channel 4's commissioning editor - Clemency Green - described it as "compelling viewing", sharing in a statement: "I’m thrilled to have commissioned Captive Minds Media’s first projects for Channel 4. In Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, we see a different side to Katie and learn more about her battle with mental health, as well as seeing her close bond with her family. It’s compelling viewing."
Liz Mills, head of content at Captive Minds Media, added at the time: "It’s really exciting for our embryonic company to have kicked off with this fabulous series for C4. I’m sure the audience will be surprised by ‘crafty’ Katie and her unique blend of family, fun and interior design with a real insight into her mental health struggles."
