Katie Piper pens first children's book with inspiring story about bravery and strength

Katie Piper has released her very first children's book.

The The Loose Women panelist, 38, is already a bestselling author, campaigner and TV presenter, and she has now added to her accolades by penning her debut children’s book, called, 'All You Need'.

Since launching her affirmation book ‘A Little Bit of Faith’ last year, Katie noticed lots of people were using the affirmations to mentor children.

From experiencing first-hand the positive impact this had on children (including her own daughters), Katie wanted to write her first children’s book alongside publishers SPCK Publishing.

Her debut children’s book aimed toward 3-5 year olds, and it is available to pre-order now on Amazon and Waterstones.

The magical story follows the main character Teeny Mouse as she goes on a big adventure and discovers all you need to be brave is right there inside of you.

Katie's heartwarming book encourages children to head on a journey with Teeny Mouse as she discovers that All You Need to try out new things is a little bit of courage and faith in yourself and in others.

The Loose Women star's previous book, A Little Bit Of Faith, is packed with 365 daily devotionals to help readers find positivity and a sense of wellbeing.

Katie's idea on the book was inspired by her finding God and becoming a Christian in the dark days after the acid attack that left her with life-changing injuries.

In the pages of the inspiring book, Katie opened up about how she deals with negative comments from people after surviving her acid attack.

The brave star penned: "When I first started going out (which took a really long time because I didn't want to leave the house because of people's reactions) men used to shout insults like this and other abuse at me.

“When someone writes something so awful and offensive about someone who is burnt or disfigured like me in the public eye, it makes those with visible differences at home not want to leave the house, like I never used to.

“Seeing someone like me being trolled, will only make them regress further. If it's happening to me, why wouldn't it happen to them?

“You should always learn someone's story and you should never judge someone without knowing what they've been through. You shouldn't judge them regardless, no matter what they look like."
