A man has been arrested in connection with a woman’s disappearance after she was last seen getting into a van three days ago.

Lancashire Constabulary said they were increasingly concerned for Katie Kenyon, 33, while family have also spoken of their worry.

Police said a woman matching Katie’s description was last seen getting into a silver Ford Transit with a man in Todmorden Road, Burnley around 9.30am on Friday.

In a post online, Katie’s sister, Sarah Kenyon, said: “It is now a waiting game, we have done everything we can, searched everywhere, contacted everyone.

“This is breaking us all and we are all so greatly appreciated for everyone’s help!”

Det Chief Insp Al Davies, of Lancashire Constabulary, said: “Katie’s disappearance is out of character and her family are understandably very worried.

“We are doing all we can to try and find her and I would appeal to anyone who has any information, however insignificant you may think it is, to come forward and contact us.”

He added: “While we have arrested someone in connection with our investigation, I am very much keeping an open mind as to what has happened and I have a team of officers and staff working hard to try and find Katie and return her to her family.”

A man aged 50 from Burnley has been arrested and is “currently helping police with enquiries,” said officers.

The van, which had the registration MT57 FLC, travelled to the Bolton by Bowland area, a village in the Ribble Valley area of Lancashire.

She has not been seen since. Officers urged anyone in the area who may have seen Katie, either in company or has dashcam footage of a van matching the description given to get in touch.

Katie is described as white and 5ft 9in tall. She was last seen wearing a blue cardigan, light blue and white top, black leggings and flip flops.
