Katie Holmes' daughter Suri is her Dawson's Creek double on New York City outing

Katie Holmes' daughter Suri looked just like her as they were spotted in public together on Sunday.

The actress' 15-year-old - who she shares with ex Tom Cruise - was her Dawson's Creek double as they spent the afternoon exploring Soho in New York together.

Katie played Joey Potter in the series, appearing in all episodes from 1998 until 2003.

And during their mother-daughter outing, Suri looked strongly like her mum, who was just 19 when she rose to fame on the show.

Katie looked ecstatic to be with her only child as they got dressed up for the occasion.

She wrapped up in a long burgundy coat, with her hair scraped back into a neat bun.

Meanwhile, Suri wore a light blue top and brown cargo trousers with a dark blue denim jacket with fur lining, pairing it with a checkered green and white bag.

They both wore face masks as they walked around together.

Katie made headlines in recent days as she made a rare public outing at New York Fashion Week.

The actress has had her fair share of media attention as she was married Hollywood icon Tom, 59, from 2006 to 2012.

After her divorce from the Top Gun star, Katie began dating Django Unchained actor Jamie Foxx, 54.

The pair kept their romance under wraps for a long time, but finally posed as a couple on a red carpet at the star-studded Met Gala in 2019.

However after six years together the couple split later the same year.

The actress was later in a relationship with chef Emilio Vitolo Jr - but they called it quits after eight months.

A spokesperson told Us Weekly : "The pair have parted ways amicably but remain friends."

Sources say that while the former couple enjoyed their time together, things simply didn't work out and that Katie is focusing on motherhood and her career instead.

In 2019, Katie starred in the independent film Coda alongside acting veteran Patrick Stewart.

Then in she played Liza in the film Brahms: The Boy II in 2020.

In the same year the actress played the main character in the movie The Secret: Dare to Dream co-starring Josh Lucas and Jerry O'Connell.
