Katherine Ryan enjoys surprising date night with husband Bobby Kootstra at Magic Mike Live London

Katherine Ryan and husband Bobby Kootstra left the kids at home for a date night in London’s West End at Magic Mike Live.

The 90-minute male strip show is based on the Magic Mike series of movies and has become a popular choice with hen parties since opening at The Hippodrome in 2018.

While Kootstra would have found himself in a minority in the audience, there may have been an ulterior motive for attending as it was a special Love Island takeover event.

Ryan has previously revealed that they are both massive fans of the ITV2 dating show and for one night only they got to rub shoulders with islanders past and present who filled the specially-invited audience.

Among them were Millie Court, Chloe Burrows, Cally Jane Beech, AJ Bunker, Lolly Hart, Deji Adeniyi, Patsy Field and Ella Barnes to name a few.

The Standard, who were also in attendance, found themselves sat next to series 11 Casa Amor bombshell Blade Siddiqi, who was roasted by the compare over his impressive physique and quipped he looked better than some of the strippers.

While the night was tinged with some sadness as just hours before, one of Love Islands most famous couples Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury confirmed they had split, the party atmosphere was in full force.

After the show guests headed to the venues' terrace bar where some could be heard exchanging tales of their experience in the Love Island villa over cocktails and canapes.

Taking to her Instagram Stories later, Ryan clearly had the night of her life.

“Magic Mike Live was SO FUNNY like women were howling and I rarely dance but when you play Pony and Fatman Scoop, you give me very little choice,” she penned.

Adding: “This is a GREAT girls night out AND it’s done at 8:40pm.”

Sadly, there was no mention of what Kootstra made of it all.

Ryan’s unconventional outing comes ahead of her return to stand-up comedy next month following the birth of her third child in 2022.

Titled Battleaxe, the Canadian star is set to perform dates across the UK and Ireland from September 2024 – May 2025, including three nights at the London Palladium on March 6-8.
