She captioned the post: “The time I locked my baby and phone in the house.”

The comedy star revealed all was well in the end as her husband Bobby Kootstra came to their aid saying: “Thank you @bobbyk_ for another heroic family rescue!”

Katherine also shared a photo cuddled up to baby Fenna Grace, who was born on December 16 afterwards.

Explaining what happened to her almost 900,000 Instagram followers, she said: “Sorry for posting yesterday’s dramatic video with no resolution."

She continued: “A lot of people – especially Gen Z’s – are like ‘How did he know you needed rescuing? How did he save you if you didn’t have a phone? What did you do?

“And we asked Violet [her teenage daughter] after showing her the video, what would you do? She was like, ‘throw a brick through the window’.

“I will tell you what I did. I solved in under less than 10 minutes, because I’m almost 40.”

But in a tease to get listeners to tune into her podcast, Katherine stopped short of telling any more of the story.

Instead she said: “I’ll do it on my podcast because I’m hurting for topics. So you’ll have to subscribe to my podcast if you want to know how to save your child locked in a house."

Reassuring fans Fenna Grace was safe the whole time, she added: “By the way, she was sleeping and in a safe place and I could see her through the window."

"Mom is incredible! Proving her strength repeatedly through the relatively lengthy delivery at home. We are so blessed:)"
