Katherine Ryan clapped back at comments slamming her for breastfeeding while drinking wine.
The comedian shared several snaps of her family on Instagram, cosying up to her husband, Bobby Kootstra, and her three kids, Violet, 13, one-year-old Frederick and newborn Fenna Grace.
The first of the batch saw Katherine cradling Fenna as she breastfed while enjoying a glass of wine in the process. One fan wasn't happy with the imagery and quickly condemned the mother for her actions, stating health concerns.

They said: "Enough with the wine drinking whilst still breastfeeding. I couldn’t care less about statistics about percentages. Alcohol isn’t healthy for adults… never mind babies."
Katherine hit back to declare the comment was incorrect as she said: "My small children are smart enough to slowly explain to you why it’s fine." On the flip side of Instagram comments, some praised Katherine as their new favourite person. They said: "Wine for breakfast! My Queen!"
Luckily for Katherine, the NHS website states occasional drinking is "unlikely" to harm a newborn, especially if breastfeeding is carried out at least two hours later.
Katherine and her partner welcomed Fenna in December with the news she gave birth in her daughter Violet's bedroom. In a video sharing a glimpse of Fenna just after she was born, she said: "[Violet told her] 'You will not have the baby in my room'. Where did we have the baby…?
"Violet – MVP of the whole thing along with private midwives and Bobby. We did it!"
