Emmerdale star Katherine Dow Blyton may have offered a cryptic clue about what the future holds for her character after the soap’s special 50th anniversary show.
At the end of Sunday evening’s milestone episode viewers were left wondering what the fate of Harriet Finch, played by Katherine Dow Blyton, and Kim Tate, played by Claire King, as the pair lay in a perilous state. This was following the major storm hitting the village.
We’ve previously reported Katherine teasing her time on Emmerdale might be coming to an end which could tie up with Sunday evening’s closing scene.

“Well, you never know, do you?” she replied. “That’s showbiz, one minute you are here and the next you're not here.”
We’ve been told to be prepared to say goodbye to some Emmerdale favourites during this big week of episodes. Katherine was previously philosophical when commenting on an acting talent’s lifespan on a soap.
Katherine, who joined Emmerdale in 2013, said: “But it’s a risk you take and it’s part of the job, isn’t it? Whatever happens you get to be involved in some fabulous storylines, so you have to seize the day.”
