Katey Sagal And Mark Harelik Join One Piece Season Two Cast

Katey Sagal expresses gratitude for making her a mother, shares condolences.

Netflix has announced the latest additions to the cast of One Piece season two, with Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik joining the ensemble. Sagal, known for her roles in Sons of Anarchy and The Conners, will portray Dr. Kurehao, while Harelik, who recently appeared in AppleTV+'s Presumed Innocent and The Morning Show, will take on the role of Dr. Hiriluk.

The new cast members join a lineup that includes Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Clive Russell as Crocus, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Werner Coetser as Dorry.

Returning for season two are Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Jeff Ward, and Michael Dorman in their respective roles from the first season.

One Piece season two, a live-action adaptation of the popular anime series, follows Monkey D. Luffy, played by Iñaki Godoy, on a high-seas adventure as he pursues his dream of becoming the King of the Pirates. Alongside his crew, Luffy embarks on a treasure hunt, facing challenges from the sea and rival pirates.

Notably, Jamie Lee Curtis had expressed interest in portraying Dr. Kurehao but the role ultimately went to Sagal. Curtis had lobbied for the role during the SAG-AFTRA strike in September 2023, garnering support from fans on social media.

The series is co-showrun by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, with production currently underway in Cape Town, South Africa.
