Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton's visit to the Wales and England rugby teams yesterday were also documented with new behind-the-scenes pictures.
The Prince and Princess of Wales could be seen chatting to the two teams in their changing rooms after watching them battle it out in a Six Nations clash at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
In pictures shared on their Twitter account, Royal fans were treated to an inside-look at the intimate locker-room meeting.
While passionate rugby fan William could be seen chatting to members of the Welsh team, fellow enthusiast Kate could be seen posing for pictures with an English rugby player.
Despite sitting together in the stands during the match, Kate and William were supporting different teams due to their royal patronages.
Kate, who is patron of Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Rugby Football League (RFL) and her husband William, patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), were both beaming as they chatted to the teams.
In the end it was Kate's team who were victorious – beating their rivals 20-10.
William, who took over the rugby patronage from his brother Harry, and Kate captioned the photos: "A sneak peek behind the scenes with the Wales and England teams yesterday," written in both English and Welsh.
The mum-of-three looked incredible in a custom-made, recycled red-and-white houndstooth coat by one of her favourite designers Catherine Walker. Royal fans may recognise the brightly-coloured coat, which she wore for the first time in 2018 during a trip to Sweden.
To complete the elegant ensemble she wore a black, turtleneck dress and tights, coupled with black, suede ankle boots and a small, cream handbag.
The royal power couple aren't strangers to sporting games, as they can regularly be spotted cheering on from the stands.
After the game had started, the couple Tweeted: "What a great half of rugby! Bring on the next 40 minutes."
Kate was a rugby fan before joining the Royals, as she grew up watching the sport with her own family. She is known as being one of the sportiest members of the royal family.
Over the years she has tried her hand at many sports – from sailing to cricket and table tennis.
