The Princess of Wales is getting her "revenge" on Meghan Markle by shaking up her staff, a royal expert has claimed.
Kate is said to have hired brand management expert Alison Corfield, who has been described as a "straight-talking, ball breaker, as her new private secretary
She will become Kate's most senior aide and the 51-year-old previously worked for TV chef Jamie Oliver as his head of campaigns, where she masterminded his campaigns against childhood obesity and reducing junk food in schools.
A source previously said that her appointment was unusual as she will "shake things up" at Kensington Palace and is "a bit out there".
And according to royal biographer and expert Duncan Larcombe, Kate's new appointment is very telling.
Speaking on True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, he said: "The pressure on Kate’s shoulders to get it right, because she's of an age where she's that bridge between younger people and the elderly members of the [Royal] Family that are still at the forefront of the news and the pictures.
"You always get a little bit nervous when they recruit people from outside to come and get all brand-savvy and clever and it can go wrong.
"But I think personally for now, this is Kate’s revenge on Meghan isn’t it?"
Kate's new move coincides with the launch of her ambitious campaign aimed at raising the profile of the early years development of children.
She wants the project called Shaping Up, described as her "life's work" to highlight the significance of the formative years of a child’s life.
In a speech at the launch of the initiative last month, the princess said: "The campaign is fundamentally about shining a spotlight on the critical importance of early childhood and how it shapes the adults we become.
"During this time we lay the foundations and building blocks for life.
"And it is when we learn to understand ourselves, understand others and understand the world in which we live.
"This is why it is essential to not only understand the unique importance of our earliest years but to know what we can all do to help raise future generations of happy, healthy adults."
Meanwhile in another video for the campaign with radio presenter Roman Kemp, Kate said her campaign goes beyond “raising kids” and is also about “shaping our society” and creating a “more nurturing world”.
She explained highlighting the importance of early childhood was not about putting “extra pressure” on parents, but saying they needed “help reprioritising family life”.
