Kate Middleton honoured Queen Elizabeth II with a sweet gesture at her state funeral.
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, arrived at Westminster Abbey with Camilla, the Queen Consort, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Kate was dressed in black, as is tradition, and wore a black veil on her hat.
The mourning veils have been part of the Royal Family's tradition for years and years and are worn not only as a symbol of grief, but also offer the wearer more privacy.

However, it was Kate's choice of jewellery that honoured Her Majesty at her funeral. According to The Court Jeweller, Lauren Kiehna, the Princess of Wales wore Bahrain pearl drop earrings and a Japanese pearl choker necklace both from the collection of the Queen.
The necklace is a four-stranded pearl choker necklace with a diamond clasp. The pearls were said to be a gift from Japan during a state visit.
In November 1982, the Queen loaned Princess Diana the necklace during a state visit from the Netherlands. The Queen then loaned the necklace to Kate for the funeral of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
For Her Majesty's funeral, Kate added the Queen's Bahrain pearl drop earrings. The Queen received the pearls from the Hakim of Bahrain as a wedding gift in 1947.
It is likely Kate will inherit a good deal of Her Majesty's £4 billion jewellery collection.
