Kate Middleton received a title upgrade when she became the new Princess of Wales after King Charles became the monarch.
But one day she will receive an even bigger promotion when her husband Prince William, the heir to the throne, takes his place as King as she becomes queen, the Mirror reports.
Kate, whose birth name is Catherine, is likely to be known as Queen Catherine when this happens and it's also expected that Kate will make use of her platform to promote the causes and organisations that she holds close to her heart.
During her recent visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, the Princess of Wales was quizzed by school children on what the first thing she plans to do when she takes the top job.
The curious question came from Saron Fikremariam, a pupil from one of 10 primary schools enjoying the picnic at the show alongside the royal.
The 11-year-old shared Kate's instant answer as she explained: "I asked her what's the first thing she is going to do when she becomes Queen and she said she is going to help kids."
Kate was also asked by other youngsters during her trip to the Flower Show what it was like to be a princess to which the mother-of-three replied: "You have to work hard".
The royal also offered the youngsters a glimpse into her youngest son Prince Louis' school life as she told them the five-year-old has been growing broad beans in the school garden.
The school kids were keen to secure a souvenir from the Princess' visit and asked her to sign her name on their drawings of the garden.
However, Kate revealed that she is forbidden to provide the public with a copy of her signature and instead drew the kids some sketches as she did not want to leave them empty-handed.
According to The Telegraph, Kate previously told them: "My name's Catherine. I'm not allowed to write my signature, it's just one of those rules."
The royal sweetly left the kids with several drawings of a flower, one of a tree and another of a pond surrounded by some plants.
Kate also met with ex-servicemen and women of the Chelsea Pensioners, who are a feature of Gregory's garden. A covered dining area has been established for them alongside a kitchen that will provide meals for the elderly group using produce grown nearby.
When the princess asked the pensioners what the dish was as they tucked into chargrilled peas with herbs, Harry Puttick, who served with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers for 30 years, charmingly replied: "The peas are forgettable, you are not."
With the chef nearby, the cheeky OAP added: "I'd better say the peas were wonderful, but it was fantastic to meet the future Queen."
Kate wore a bright bubble gum pink ME+EM dress that she previously wore while meeting a five-year-old cancer survivor at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh in 2021.
