Kate Middleton's 'favourite' sparkling tiara comes with 'painful' side effect

It's not very often that Kate Middleton gets the opportunity to wear a dazzling tiara but, when she does there is one that seems to be her stand out favourite.

For most glamorous events, the Princess of Wales chooses her gorgeous Lover's Knot Tiara which was also worn multiple times by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

The exquisite diamond and pearl-encrusted headpiece dates back to 1914 and was made by royal jeweller Garrad for Queen Mary, the Mirror reports.

The Princess wore it most recently last week to an evening reception at the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa in Jordan along with her sparkling pink Jenny Packham gown.

However, a royal fashion expert has revealed the truth behind what it's like to wear the Lover's Knot Tiara and unfortunately for Kate, it is apparently not always a pleasant experience.

Fashion coach and celebrity stylist Miranda Holder who goes by the username @themirandaholder on TikTok claims that the weight of the heavy tiara can cause headaches which was something Princess Diana complained of.

She explained: "Apparently because it was so heavy she used to get terrible headaches from wearing it."

The tiara is also believed to be very noisy due to the swinging pear-shaped pearls.

Despite this, it has not prevented Kate from falling in love with it as she Princess wore it to the wedding in Jordan last week, making it the first time she has ever worn a tiara outside of the UK.

However, the Princess of Wales was not the only royal family member to show up in a dazzling tiara as Princess Beatrice also seized the opportunity while she could.

The non-working royal does not get very many chances to wear a tiara with her first ever appearance wearing one coming on her wedding day to husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020.

On her big day, she sported the beautiful Queen Mary Fringe tiara which was the exact same one her late grandmother Queen Elizabeth wore on her own wedding day in 1947.

In a touching tribute to Her Majesty, she also wore a wedding dress from her grandmother's wardrobe which had been remodelled specially for Beatrice's big day.

Princes Beatrice also attended the wedding and wore the York tiara which was gifted to her mother Fergie by the late Queen (Royal Hashemite Court/PA Wire)

At the royal wedding in Jordan last week, the Princess opted for a new headpiece - the York tiara.

The gorgeous jewel was gifted to Beatrice's mum Sarah Ferguson by the late Queen on her wedding day and was one she wore to many events afterwards.

At the wedding's evening reception, Beatrice wore it along with an elegant blush pink Reem Acra gown matched with a pair of silver earrings and bag.
