The Princess of Wales made a last minute alteration to her Christmas Day outfit because of a thoughtful gift from her husband. She debuted a beautiful pair of earrings as she joined her in-laws for the family's traditional walk to church.
The earrings were reportedly a Christmas present from Prince William, reports The Mirror. It comes as the royals open their presents on Christmas Eve - and Kate was keen to wear the newest addition to her jewellery box as soon as possible.
She looked chic in her forest-green Alexander McQueen coat and a Philip Treacy fedora hat, which she then elevated with the generous gift as she stepped out in Sandringham. The ocean blue Dina earrings are made from gold-plated recycled brass and natural stones. The cluster of blue jewels makes them the perfect addition to any festive ensemble.

It was the first time King Charles led his family in the walk from their Sandringham Estate to St Mary Magdalene church since he became Monarch. Prince Louis also made his debut at the annual event, walking hand-in-hand with his parents.
The royals stopped to chat to a large group of well-wishers who gathered outside the church, and Kate's gorgeous new earrings didn't go unnoticed. A royal watcher fled to Twitter to gush over the heartfelt gift William purchased from one of his wife's favourite stores, describing it as "so thoughtful".
"They are gorgeous earrings, she is bound to love them. I wish my husband was as thoughtful as William!" A royal fan tweeted.
Kate is known to love Sezane and has been spotted wearing their items on several occasions. Kate's wardrobe includes a number of timeless classics from the popular brand, including shirts, belts, and a selection of pieces from their jewellery range, including a £55 set of blue earrings.
In fact, the Christmas walk was the sixth time Kate has worn a pair earrings from the brand out in public. Unfortunately, fans of the Dina earrings will have to wait until the store brings the jewellery back in stock as they sold out within minutes of Kate wearing them.
In terms of hair, the Duchess let her flow beneath her fedora and elegantly down her back - perfectly positioned to spot the dangling jewels. Christmas 2022 was an emotional occasion for the royal family as they marked their first festive season without the Queen.
In the lead up to the big day, Kate hosted a carol concert at Westminster Abbey in tribute to her husband's grandmother. In a promotion video for the event, which was televised on Christmas Eve, she said: "This Christmas will be our first without Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
"Her Majesty held Christmas close to her heart, as a time that brought people together and reminded us of the importance of faith, friendship and family, and to show empathy and compassion."
She later added: “Her Majesty leaves with us an incredible legacy and one that has deeply inspired many of us.”
