One of Kate Middleton 's most trusted aides and 'right hand woman' stepped down as her role of private secretary, just a few months after the royal became the Princess of Wales.
On 9 September 2022, Katehad the title bestowed on her when her husband, Prince William, was created Prince of Wales by his father, King Charles III.
But in a shock to the royal couple, their most trusted aide Hannah Cockburn-Logie stepped down as Kate's private secretary.
During her role, Ms Cockburn-Logie - who has had the duty since June 2020 - was there to ensure the smooth running of the princess's day - from coordinating her correspondence to organising her royal engagements.
She was also responsible for briefing Kate on any dignitaries or officials she might have been meeting, as well as accompanying her to any public meetings.
The Princess of Wales's 'right hand woman', from London, quite shortly after Queen Elizabeth II's passing, for personal reasons, according to The Telegraph.
According to information from Companies House, Ms Cockburn-Logie is no longer working as a director of The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales either.
Paperwork confirmed that her employment terminated on 31 October 2022.
A Kensington Palace source said: "Hannah is a fantastic, dynamic leader. Loyal and a skilled diplomat."
Prior to taking on the role as private secretary, she had established a relationship with the the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when she accompanied them on their seven-day tour to India and Bhutan in April 2016.
She also guided the then Duchess throughout many difficult years, including the departure of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as their Caribbean tour in 2022, which was met by criticism of 'colonial overtones'.
Ms Cockburn-Logie has more than 20 years worth of experience at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and she was even award an OBE for her efforts and work in improving Britain's relationship with India.
Since Ms Cockburn-Logie's departure, Natalie Barrows, Kate's assistant private secretary, has stepped up.
Ms Barrows travelled with the royal pair to Boston last week, and led them on their first tour of the US in eight years.
The palace are now advertising for a new private secretary to take on the important role.
Meanwhile, Kate's previous private secretaries include Catherine Quinn - who left her post after two years in the job. And in 2017, Rebecca Priestly stepped down from the role after having spent ten years by Kate's side.
Other members close to the princess include the family's nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who looks after Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Stylist Natasha Archer, nicknamed 'Tash', is another key member of the team, and helps Kate coordinate her clothing for any events.
Meanwhile, another woman who has a close relationship with Kate is Amanda Cook Turner.
She is behind the Princess's hair, and was reportedly one of the first people to have met Prince George when he was born in 2013.
