Kate Middleton broke Royal rule at Queen's Easter Church service

Kate Middleton broke a Royal rule when she attended the Queen's Easter Church service.

Some royal traditions are ages old and they've been followed in the family over centuries.

However, they say rules are made to be broken and unfortunately Kate Middleton managed to sever a longterm rule when she and her children attended an Easter Service for the royal family, as reports the Mirror.

Every Easter 'The Firm' get together to go to a church service held at Windsor with the Queen.

The ceremony normally happens in St George's Chapel and, rather than everyone arriving at the same time, the royals are meant to arrive one by one with the most senior member of the family being the last to attend.

Obviously the Queen is the most senior member in attendance and archive pictures from past Easter services show her family lining up outside the chapel to greet her.

She then leads the way as they all head inside the Chapel.

In 2018, Kate Middleton and Prince William turned up to the service after Her Majesty - meaning they broke the longstanding tradition,

Apparently, traffic was to blame on the M4 after the Duke and Duchess had spent time with their family along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Kate was expecting Prince Louis too and their tardiness meant they had to sneak into the chapel.

The couple also visited schools for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they looked at those closer to Windsor and The Queen,

The family spend time normally between Kensington Palace in London and Amner Hall in Norfolk.

William is close to his grandmother and a move to Windsor would also Kate closer to her parents Carole and Michael, in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
