Kate Mara and Jamie Bell have welcomed their second child.

The actress shared news of their baby boy’s arrival on Thursday(November 17) on Instagram, writing: "Had a baby a week ago. Here are his feet.”

She tagged her husband, 36, in the image.

Bell, who wed Mara in 2017, also shares son Jack, nine, with actress Evan Rachel Wood.

The announcement is similar to the post the actress made when revealing the birth of their first child with Bell three years ago.

Back then Mara, 39, shared an artistic portrait of their daughter’s feet, with the caption: “We had a baby a couple weeks ago... Here are her feet.”

In July 2022, the actress confirmed she and her The Fantastic Four co-star, Bell, were expecting another baby.

The star shared a photo of her and her husband holding hands during a date night out and, while they are the only ones in the snap, she captioned her post: “There are three of us in the pic.”

After welcoming their daughter in May 2019, Mara spoke about her struggles with fertility, revealing she had previously experienced a blighted ovum, which is a type of early miscarriage.

Mara and Bell now share two children together, with Bell having a son from a previous relationship (PA)

While she and Bell were happy to hear she was expecting again, Mara had mixed emotions.

“I was so excited, but also sad that we weren’t as excited as we were the first time,” she shared on a June 2019 episode of the Informed Pregnancy podcast.

“Because that was clear that it was a very different dynamic.”

Bell and Mara first met when they starred together in the superhero film Fantastic Four, in May 2014, and struck up a romance soon after.

Bell previously described their 2017 nuptials as “small and intimate”.
