Kate Lawler slammed for shouting at ambulance for interrupting This Morning competition

Kate Lawler has come under fire from This Morning viewers after failing to keep a calm head when the unexpected happened during a live segment.

The former Big Brother winner, 44, was reporting from an open-top bus in Westminster and in the process of explaining how fans could win a quarter of a million pounds when she was suddenly interupted by an ambulance siren.

Rather than overlooking the disruptive sound, she responded in a raised voice: “Do you mind I’m trying to do the competition.”

Hearing more ambulances driving past, she added: “They’re all coming out now.”

Those watching at home were clearly unimpressed as they took to social media platofrm X to comment on her “inconsiderate” behaviour and accused her of “celeb entitlement”.

Kate Lawler was presenting from an open-top bus in Westminster at the time (ITV)

“How inconsiderate Kate was in that competition on #ThisMorning with an ambulance blaring the sirens and all she did was shout ‘do you mind I’m trying to do a competition’, yes I know they wouldn’t be able to hear her because they were probably on their way saving a life,” said one person.

"Any siren indicates an emergency for someone whether Police, Fire or Ambulance how totally tackless and self-obsessed is Kate. God forbid it was one of her family that was having an emergency ..stupid woman,” penned another.

"Complaining about an ambulance probably going to save someone's life, seriously!" remarked a third.

While a fourth declared: "The nerve that someone needs an ambulance when Kate Lawler is talking. Celeb entitlement."

“Not a good look shouting at ambulance crews because they're 'disturbing your competition information' #thismorning,” echoed a fifth.

Following the segment, her co-star Ben Shephard said that Lawler was “very brave” going on the tour bus through London “with the traffic” making it hard for her to travel easily.

The ITV show's hosts have previously found themselves criticised by their audience.

During Monday's episode, host Cat Deely caused controversy after she insulted viewers during the 'Spin to Win' game segment. If participants wanted to partake, they had to answer with the correct "passphrase".

When several contestants failed at this, frustration was evident among the presenters.

Shephard was clearly frustrated, saying: "Clive, Carol and now Candice! You are use-leese!" Deely however went one further, labelling the unsuccessful callers "a trio of schmucks".
