One of the UK's best loved nature and wildlife presenters has showcased the North East in the new series of her Channel 5 programme.
Kate Humble's Coastal Britain sees the presenter walk beautiful and historic stretches of the British Coast that can be done in a day or weekend. On her travels, she meets the people who live and work there and discovers the history and geology that have shaped the country's coastlines.
For the episode set in Northumberland, Kate tackled a 15-mile stretch of St. Oswald's Way. Many of her walks are done in a day - but she split her ramble over two days to give herself a chance to enjoy the county's famous dark skies.

Kate, who 'knows the Northumberland Coast in bits, but has never walked great sections of it,' started in Alnmouth, with her end goal the 'magical and mythical' Farne Islands.
In Alnmouth, Kate met sand artist Claire a former GP and visited the smallest museum in the North East, before following the coastal path north to Cullernose Point and discovering a series of hexagonal columns which are part of the Whin Sill and stretch out into the North Sea.
Then, it was onto Craster where she visited the Robson's historic smokehouse and tried her hand at smoking her own kippers, on her way to discover the history of Dunstanburgh Castle.
A detour inland saw Kate leave the coastal path for Embleton Quarry Nature Reserve where she met volunteers and did some work to help maintain the nature reserve.
It was her final activity for the day, but Kate's visit to Northumberland coincided with the full moon - so she split her walk to watch the harvest moonrise over the North Sea from Newton Point, and got more than she bargained for when a shooting star flew overhead.
The final stretch of Kate's walk the following day saw her trading walking boots for sea legs to reach her final destination of the Farne Islands, with its colonies of grey seals and sea birds.
Kate Humble's Coastal Britain continues on Friday at 8pm. You can catch up with the Northumberland episode on My5.
