Kate Hudson has revealed her son Ryder is set for stardom as she praised the 21-year-old’s “amazing” talent.
The actress, who is the daughter of acting legend Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, shared how the showbusiness gene has been passed down to her children.
Hudson, who shares Ryder with her ex-husband, The Black Crowes musician Chris Robinson, said her eldest child is also a performer and that it’s inevitable for him to end up in the limelight.
During an appearance on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 2 show on Thursday, the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star was played a 2008 clip in which her mother picked up on her talent for performing before she even knew it herself.
Discussing the clip, Hudson, 45, said: “I think [Goldie] honestly knew that there was no choice before I knew what I was even going to do.
“And I can see it in my son [Ryder]. Now, you know when your kid has that. He doesn't know it yet, but I do, and I think my parents kind of have the same thing.”

The Almost Famous star went on: “He's got it. He's got it! It's so crazy to hear that, because my son is literally in performing arts school right now. He's 21. Ah! Well, he'll be fine”
“Oh go on, why are you ‘Ah?’” Kay asked.
“Because he's so funny and he's so smart, he's very self-possessed and, and he's an amazing person,” Hudson enthused.
“And I just know that... I think our family does a really good job of, like, you know, kids have a hard time thinking that they have to do something so significant, which means to them to be seen.
“But significance is, like, if you're happy putting what you're putting out in the world, you know? And I just... I hope that I think he's got that. I think he's going to be all right.”

“Your face has just literally lit up,” Kay remarked.
“Yeah, I mean, that's my kid, that's my little baby! I was so young too [when she had Ryder], so it's fun to have an adult child that I can hang with,” Hudson explained.
Hudson was 23 when she gave birth to Ryder, with rocker Robinson, to whom she was married from 2000 to 2007.
She also shares son Bingham, 12, with former partner, Muse singer Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani Rose, five, with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
Ryder is a guitarist in the band, Hudson, and has performed with them at shows in Los Angeles.
The Music actress paid tribute to him on his 21st birthday on January 7 with a sweet montage of photos and videos of her eldest child.
“Oh my baby Ryder, 21 today. My cozy, hilarious, smart, dedicated, loving son,” she wrote alongside it.
“As a mama you wonder what this day will feel like and I have to say it is nothing as I expected. It’s better.
“Every milestone on this journey to adulthood has been a joy and every year as wonderful as the next. I love you so!!! Happy Birthday.”
Ryder responded, “Love you Ma,” with three heart emojis.
Hudson’s famous pal, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, shared her shock at Ryder’s age, simply commenting: “How?”
