A Sun source said: “Viewers love Kate and are incredibly invested in her journey. DNA Journeys is set to be another heart-wrenching chapter of her story.”
Ms Garraway has been at the helm of two award winning documentaries about her families brush with Covid, as well as a critically acclaimed book 'Finding Derek'.
The ITV Good Morning Britain star has also become the Piers Morgan Life Stories host.
Her husband Derek, a former Labour adviser, was rushed to hospital in March of 2020.
He entered a coma days later, and was only discharged from hospital a year later. He may never recover from Covid, medics say.
He sleeps 20 hours a day, Ms Garraway has revealed. And he still has his ups and downs as he continues his recovery at home.
