Kate Garraway gives update after plea as she wows in hot pink display

Kate Garraway had the awaiting crowds stunned while attending an awards bash. The ITV presenter took to the blue carpet on Wednesday afternoon (July 6) for the Tric Awards.

The event, hosted by the Television and Radio Industries Club, took place at London's Grosvenor House and many of TV’s most-loved stars got together to celebrate another big year in the business.

Kate alongside many of her Good Morning Britain co-stars as the ITV news programme was nominated in the multi-channel news category. The 55-year-old is known for her bold outfits and didn't disappoint as she donned a satin pink shirt with scarf detail which she paired with a matching pair of belted trousers, reported Manchester Evening News.

Kate paired the look with a red bag that hung off her shoulder on a gold chain as well as a pair of burgundy heels. The mum-of-two was all smiles for the cameras and posed alongside Susanna Reid who opted for a completely different look. The 51-year-old presenter, who had spent the morning hosting the ITV show from Westminster, showed off her tanned legs in a white belted dress with a plunging neckline.

She kept her dark locks in curls and added a pair of nude heels to complete the look. The pair did, however, miss out on posing with their fellow GMB regulars Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, Sean Fletcher, and Adil Ray, They all celebrated their nod while chatting at the event in the capital.

Adil said: “It has been a massive year for news. To be even nominated, there is some great competition out there. But it is great to be here and it is great to know the show is appreciated.”

Kate's appearance on the blue carpet comes after she made a desperate plea to her Twitter followers over the weekend. She revealed that she had lost her husband Derek Draper's vital medical supplies. She had brought Derek, 54, home from hospital for a short stay in a black cab.

But after they arrived home she discovered she had left his essential medication in the taxi. After putting a call out on social media, Kate confirmed the following day that they had, luckily, been returned. Speaking to The Sun at the Tric awards, Kate said of her husband: "He's OK, he's back in hospital actually, so that's a development. There we are."

Holly Willoughby was also in attendance at the awards bash. The This Morning presenter dashed over from her stint on the daytime show but not before a quick change. Holly, 41, ditched the midi ditzy floral dress she wore to present live to the nation on Wednesday and swapped it for a powder pink pleated dress.

The delicate number featured a large collar and faux pockets on the front but did appear to have actually pockets within the skirt of the dress as Holly posed with her hand clutching onto one. She also gripped on to a round pink bag and opted for a pair of beige heels for the occasion.

Phillip Schofield was also in tow, who opted for a laid-back formal look. The 60-year-old donned a white shirt under a grey blazer which he paired with black trousers and matching suede boots.
