Good Morning Britain (GMB) host Kate Garraway was caught using her phone live on-air as she admitted she was having to deal with a "home crisis."
The mum-of-two was called out by co-host Richard Madeley, 68, for tapping away on her handset following a commercial break during Monday’s show.
"She's on her phone, she's on her phone!" he exclaimed, before pointing at the pink device which she had since put down on the desk.
“I was on my phone!” Garraway guiltily confirmed.
Adding: "I was just dealing with a little home crisis, a little bit of, you know... Kids getting up to no good. You know what kids are like!"
The TV star - who shares 18-year-old daughter Darcey and 15-year-old son with late husband Derek Draper - then told how they were asking where a particular item was in their home.
She eventually had to tell them that she was "on air" so they need to find whatever it was by themselves.
It comes a week after Garraway returned to the ITV breakfast show after taking some time out when her father was taken ill.
She was absent for almost two weeks after her dad Gordon collapsed after suffering a suspected stroke and heart attack just six months after her husband’s passing.
Garraway naturally wanted to be with him and rushed down to Cornwall to be by his side.
"It was very scary but am so pleased that he is now stable & even recovering a bit in hospital - we have so much to be grateful for, but are taking it a day at a time,” she said in a health update shared to social media.
The ITV star thanked "the incredible NHS staff for their endless kindness" and continued care towards her father.
She additionally thanked her friends and work colleagues for their support, mentioning by name her GMB co-stars Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins, plus Smooth FM presenter Myleene Klass.
