Kate Garraway brightens up GMB with quirky dress but viewers moan it's too 'loud'

Kate Garraway divided opinion on Friday as she wore a very colourful dress to host the latest episode of Good Morning Britain.

The mother-of-two was presenting the ITV breakfast show alongside Adil Ray and decided to bright up the studio in the bright green garment.

The long-sleeved garment featured a high neck and a very bold print, including diamonds and flower shapes.

Adding to her glamorous look, Kate wore her blonde locks in a loose curl as she discussed the latest headlines alongside Adil.

And it seems her quirky dress didn't go unnoticed as Good Morning Britain viewers took to Twitter to comment.

Kate Garraway divided opinion on Friday as she wore a very colourful dress to host Good Morning Britain (ITV)

"#gmb 1973 phoned, they want Kate’s dress back," one person joked.

Another tweeted: "Garraways dress is nearly as loud as her voice!!! #GMB."

A third person posted: "@kategarraway mum used to have curtains like this dress #gmb."

And a fourth GMB viewer poked fun by tweeting: "Hope Kate has another set of curtains that she made her dress from! #gmb."

Some GMB viewers compared Kate's dress to an old-fashioned pair of curtains (ITV)

Other viewers were not impressed with GMB's constant coverage regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's surprise visit to the UK.

On Thursday it was revealed that the couple had secretly flown to the UK and met with the Queen and Prince Charles at Windsor Castle.

As Kate hosted the show alongside Adil, she referred to the reunion as 'breaking news' and also GMB's 'top story'.

However, viewers tuning in at home were not impressed and some even felt that there were more important topics that should be covered on the ITV show.

"@kategarraway and @adilray Are we going to have #HarryAndMeghan all damn morning? NOBODY IS INTERESTED! Just drop it! #GMB." one person fumed.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub.
