Pregnant Kate Ferdinand has let followers in on her ritual to help her anxiety. Kate, 31, who is epecting a baby girl with Manchester United footballing icon Rio Ferdinand, took to Instagram to say she's being helped with inspiring mantra cards that she places next to her at the sink while she's brushing her teeth in the mornings.
Kate posted a picture of her cards by self-development coach and manifesting expert Roxie Nafousi as she said the routine has changed her life. She typed on her Instagram Stories: "Morning all. Love my cards this morning. I've been feeling a little anxious at times recently but starting the day like this really helps me!"
She explained: "I put them next to my sink and brush my teeth and read them in my head and it really helps me switch my mindset in the morning. Thanks for sending me these @roxienafousi - I think they may have just changed my life."

Kate, who has a two-year-old son Cree with Rio, 44, and is a doting stepmum to his three children Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 12 with his late wife Rebecca who died in 2015, shared their joyous baby news in January on social media alongside a video showcasing her bump. "We’ve been praying for you…" she said.
Kate shared a picture of herself in the gym wearing sleek black workout wear as she told fellow Instagrammers that she feels all of a sudden 'very pregnant.' "Back at pilates today after a break over the Easter holidays! Oh it felt good to be back, although I'm a lot less agile!" she said. "Lool. I feel as though I all of a sudden feel very pregnant. Still have a long way to go so trying to keep moving were possible."
Kate posted a loving message to her stepdaughter on her birthday. "Twelve years of Tia," she celebrated. "Today is all about you special girl. I can't believe you are 12."
Kate said in her heartfelt message: "I met you just after your sixth birthday. Six years of love, laughter, tears, cuddles and annoyance lool. Thanks for being the best daughter I could wish for."
Speaking on her recent Blended podcast alongside Rio, Kate revealed that her gender reveal went wrong after she ended up choking on a cupcake. Kate said: "It was bedlam. So we all had a cake - there were 12 cakes. This was actually Rio's idea. Only one of them had the colour in it. So we all had two cakes each. Little cupcakes."
Rio continued the story, saying Lorenz ended up getting the pink cupcake. "And then it was just was bedlam, manic," he said. "Then Kate decides to take the spotlight and choke on the cupcake - she almost died."Kate added: "I was so excited that it was a girl, I hadn't swallowed the bit of cake, but then Cree's started screaming so I went over to see him and then the cake got stuck in my throat. Not one family member cared. I was actually full-blown choking.
"Someone was having to hit me over the back - I had no drink. And you were all drinking tropical fruit from the fridge like minding your own business. I'm full-blown choking for at least two minutes - like fully choking and no-one cared."
