Kate Ferdinand proudly reveals family connection to Dancing On Ice as she 'gets chills'

Kate Ferdinand took to social media to share her sweet family connection to ITV ’s Dancing On Ice.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star posted videos on her Instagram Stories on Sunday night as she and husband Rio Ferdinand cheered on one of their family members as they watched the dancing competition on Sunday night.

Kate filmed the TV as Rio’s younger sister Anya took to the stage, alongside judge and former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, as she performed a show-stopping routine before the results were announced.

Anya, along with twin sister Remi, are the rarely-seen younger siblings of former footballer Rio, who are his half-sisters from his father’s side.

“So proud of our sister anya.ferdinand.5,” Kate wrote atop the clip.

“You killed it! We have chills. Love you so much superstar,” she added.

In the video, Kate can be heard exclaiming, “There she is, there she is!” as husband Rio walks up to the television to point her out.

“She’s there! She’s there!” he shouts excitedly.

“Oh yes Anya,” Kate says as Rio can be heard whooping and cheering in the background.

“Wow, man,” she adds.

Anya shared snaps and videos from behind-the-scenes at Dancing On Ice, as she posted a clip of the dance troupe heading to rehearsals, and also uploaded a photo of her backstage pass.

“LETS GOOOO,” she captioned the slideshow, alongside flame emojis.

Anya performed alongside Oti as she wowed the audience - and viewers at home - with a special routine with her husband Marius Lepure which was adapted from her stage show I Am Here.

Fellow judges, and Olympic gold medal-winning skaters, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean also joined Oti for the fiery performance, which fused the dancefloor with the ice for an unforgettable routine to showcase her skills to Dancing on Ice fans.

“It's so great to be dancing again and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been working on for my I Am Here UK tour when we debut the show on Dancing on Ice this Sunday! Someone pinch me!” she said in a social media post ahead of the show.

“Dance will always be my first love and this tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life! My way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey,” Oti added.
