Former The Only Way is Essex star Kate Ferdinand has been added to the bill of Fearne Cotton’s wellness festival, which takes place in Cheshire this September. The Thomas Brothers, Adam, Ryan and Scott, have also been confirmed for the event.
The Happy Place festival’s northern date will take place at Tatton park in Cheshire on September 3-4, following the first instalment of the festival at Chiswick House in London in August. Guests including Jono Lancaster, Munya Chawawa and Malin Anderson were confirmed earlier this year.
Described as the ‘Woodstock of Wellness’ by Russell Brand back in 2019, the festival, which includes workshops such as yoga and meditation, aims to ‘help clear the mind, bring simple joy and help unlock that inner happiness’. Its return follows a successful debut back in 2019, which saw guests such as Joe Wicks and Katie Piper take to the Happy Place stage.
Back in April, Ferdinand announced the launch of her new podcast and platform, Blended. The former TOWIE star, who shares one-year-old son Cree with football pundit Rio Ferdinand, and is also stepmother to his three older children revealed the new show would explore the realities of living as a blended family.
She married Rio Ferdinand in 2019, four years after his wife Rebecca Ellison died, in 2015, two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Kate will be talking about the project on Saturday, September 3 at 1.45pm.
Former Emmerdale actor Adam , his twin Scott, who was a constant on Love Island, and Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, will appear at the festival on Sunday, July 4 at 2.30pm. This year, will also see appearances from singer Matt Willis, TV star and disability campaigner Jono Lancaster, British amputee Tilly Lockey and mental health advocate and former Love Island contestant Malin Anderson.
Happy Place guests will also be able to take part in activities including talks, workshops, meditation, and breathwork classes throughout the two days. Due to the popularity of the events programme, this year’s festival will see a greater range of classes as well as food stalls from independent health and wellbeing brands, all of which will be spread across several tepees.
The event, which is family-friendly, will also be putting on a number of activities for children including hands-on workshops, storytelling and festival face painting. Children’s tickets will be available for those aged 5-16 years.
