Kate Ferdinand admits she's been 'munchin kebabs and sweets' after quitting her diet

Kate Ferdinand loves to keep her body in tip-top shape and often shares footage from her home workout sessions.

But as she took to Instagram on Wednesday morning, to share a snap of her getting sweaty, she admitted that she is trying to get back into the gym after quitting her diet for a few wild nights of indulgence.

The mother-of-of one, 30, honestly confessed that she has strayed from her usual healthy eating due to a busy work schedule and as a result has "been munching kebabs and sweets late at night".

Alongside a snap showing her lifting weights in the flashy gym inside her and husband Rio Ferdinand's home, she penned: "First time back training in a week, I’ve been quiet as I’ve been sooooooooooo busy with work. I have been munching kebabs and sweets late at night where I haven’t been organised from today I’m aiming to get a bit of routine back where possible."

Last month, Kate sparked concern when she was quiet on social media - a stark contrast to her usual day to day updates online.

However, she soon shut down speculation by telling her 1.4 million followers she was battling Covid-19 in private.

Addressing her online silence, Kate, 30, explained how she appreciated everyone's concern while she was forced to isolate because of the viral disease.

Captioning an image of white roses, the former reality TV star wrote: "Thank you for all your messages checking in! I appreciate you all.

"I've been fine, I had COVID (I had to isolate) & then have been enjoying getting back to normal life & spending time with my family."

The ex reality TV personality also updated her followers on how she struggled to train when she came out of isolation.

"First day back at the gym post Covid, I've had around 14 days out!" Kate captioned a snippet of her pumping some iron.

"Wow it was hard... breathless and a real lack of enthusiasm today but we got it done."

Kate - who shares son Cree with partner Rio - recently told the Mirror how she determined to focus on exercise specifically for the benefit of her mental health.

“I enjoy working out – it clears my mind,” Kate told.

“But I don’t feel the need to be crazy about it or put loads of pressure on myself, because there are much more important things.”

She added: "Consistency is key. It will be better to go twice a week than go six days a week and then quit after two weeks."

Sharing on her favourite ways to workout, the former TOWIE reality star added: "I like going to the gym and I really love walking. Walking really clears my mind – I love getting out with Cree and the dogs to get fresh air. At the gym, I do a bit of everything."
