A new portrait of the Princess of Wales in a dazzling red gown has been released amid the fallout from Harry and Meghan's bombshell Netflix documentary.
Kate Middleton appears to be ignoring the drama sparked by her brother in law and his wife's multimillion pound TV series, with the release of the image.
In the festive photo, which features a Christmas tree and some boxed presents, Prince William's wife smiles at the camera.
She is wearing a £460 floor-length Aurora gown by Needle and Thread which is covered in sequins and has see-through sleeves.
This Thursday, 40-year-old Kate is set to host a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.
Charles, Camilla, and Prince William will be joined by other members of the royal family, who will gather for the Together At Christmas service on Thursday, December 15 - the same day as volume two of Harry and Meghan hits TV screens around the world.
Kensington Palace said this year’s carol service is dedicated to the late Queen and “the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others”.
Spearheaded by the Princess of Wales and supported by The Royal Foundation, the service will “recognise the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring”.
Those performing include Craig David, Alexis Ffrench and Samantha Barks, as well as a special duet from Alfie Boe and former Spice Girl Melanie C.
“Poignant readings” will be delivered by speakers including the Prince of Wales, Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, Hugh Bonneville and Kadeena Cox, the Palace said.
The service will be broadcast on ITV1 on Christmas Eve as part of a Royal Carols: Together At Christmas programme, narrated by Catherine Zeta Jones, and featuring an introduction by Kate and tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth.
