Kate Beckinsale reveals she’s been hospitalised while sharing heartfelt tribute to her mother

Kate Beckinsale revealed that she had been hospitalised while sharing a heartfelt tribute to her mother, Judy Loe, on Mother's Day.

The 50-year-old posted on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her mother for her unwavering support and included a video of Loe celebrating her birthday with champagne alongside several selfies.

Alongside these, she shared two pictures of herself in a hospital bed, wearing a black headband adorned with a bow.

Despite being in the hospital, Beckinsale took the opportunity to honour her mother on this special day.

In her caption, the star of Underworld wished her mother a happy birthday and Mother’s Day, before describing how Loe has supported her throughout the last week, although didn’t specify why she was hospitalised.

She penned: “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s*** and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.

“And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us... And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”

After she noted that her “mother’s capacity for joy” was “so inspiring and beautiful,” she once again celebrated Loe in her caption.

She shared: “Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you.”

In the comments, many fans sent messages of support to Beckinsale and questioned why she was hospitalised while applauding her mother’s day tribute.

“Are you OK? Why are you in a hospital? Please get well soon,” one commented.

Another penned: “Hope you’re OK! Happy mom’s day!”

The Standard has contacted Kate Bekinsale’s rep for comment.
