Kate Beckinsale dressed up as a poodle to surprise one of her cats recently, with the prank described as "hilarious" by fans after it was shared on social media earlier this week.
The actor, 48, has become known for posting content about her pets, which include cats Clive and Willow - with them often seen in photos and videos on her Instagram.
Her followers have come to notice that Clive can be quite chilled, but the Underworld star has previously described Willow as being "a bit of a bastard [who] likes to start sh*t."
So it likely came as no surprise to Kate that when she decided to prank the fluffy grey cat in her latest video, she ended up getting pawed in the face by Willow.
The prank was shared with her 5.2 million followers on the platform yesterday and shows a woman - believed to be the actor - perched on a sofa whilst wearing a poodle mask.
Willow is seen lying towards the back of the sofa, with her soon reacting to her owner. As Kate creeps closer, the cat begins throwing its paws at the mask - unamused.
Alongside the video, the Van Helsing star wrote in the caption: "So ... we're not getting a poodle." It has almost 2 million views and there are more than 5,000 comments.
It was liked by celebrities including Strictly 's Karen Hauer, 39, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kathy Hilton, 62, and award-winning actor Michelle Pfeiffer, 63.
Her followers expressed amusement over the prank, with one writing: "That might be the funniest video ever." Another said in the comments: "All of her videos are so damn funny."
Others described the actor as "hilarious" and "crazy," with one follower referring to the prank as "hysterical." Another fan commented on the post: "I can't stop watching this."
