Kate and William seen comforting a 'disappointed' Prince Louis during flypast, expert claims

Prince William and Kate had to reason with Prince Louis after he seemed disappointed by the traditional flypast during the Trooping the Colour ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

The royals gathered on the Buckingham palace balcony to watch the impressive display as part of King Charles' first Trooping the Colour.

However, Louis, who is thought to usually be a big fan of the RAF flypast, was unimpressed this time as his parents explained the flight formation to him, a lipreader has claimed.

Trooping the Colour is an annual royal event which is held to mark the British sovereign's official birthday and around 70 aircrafts were involved in the six-minute display in celebration of Charles' 74th birthday, the Express reports.

The lipreader claims William told Louis: "They work in twos" to which the little Prince responded with a simple "oh" and displayed disappointed body language.

Kate then allegedly says: "Hey, it's alright, listen" with William adding that the aircraft "may need to manoeuvre".

However, Louis's mood soon started to pick up as he was seen playfully imitating the planes and impressed the crowds below by giving his own little salute.

Body language expert Judi James opined that Louis seemed excited to watch the Red Arrows as he punched his fists impatiently as he eagerly waited for them to fly over the Palace.

The following day an adorable picture of William with Louis and his older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte was shared on Father's Day.

The sweet family snap, which was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Twitter account, showed the three young royals smiling and hugging their father at Windsor Castle.

The shot was compared to a photograph of Diana, William and Harry with the Prince of Wales in the same position as his younger son in the picture of him and his own kids.

Speaking of the significance of the photograph, Judi James told the Express: "The one of William with Diana must have had an iconic place in William’s life and memory

"But the similarities could have occurred subliminally rather than deliberately, especially as it would have depended on the body language reaction of two young boys: William and Louis.

"You can position children for a photo but the spontaneous delight, affection and fun on both boy’s faces would need to have come naturally from within."
