Royal wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been missing out on the weekly FaceTime between Harry and William 'to give their husbands space' to heal the long running rift between them.
Prince William and Harry are healing their feud with weekly online messages and face-to-face chats on FaceTime ahead of their Queen’s Jubilee meeting.
But Kate and Meghan, both 40, have held back from the weekly calls, giving their husbands time to fix their relationship one-to-one.
Harry, Meghan and their two children are set to fly back to the UK from their California home to joining the Jubilee celebrations marking 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II's rule.
It will be the first time the 96-year-old Queen has met her granddaughter the 11-month old Lilibet and hasn't seen Archie, three, since he was a baby.
Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States.
Their interview with Oprah Winfrey about their time in the royal family rocked the monarchy with widespread reports of tensions between William and Harry.
But it seems the brothers are taking long strides in repairing their relationship.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "They’ve also had FaceTime calls with their children, which has allowed them to re-bond.
“William sees that Meghan is a good mother and loyal wife and he is genuinely pleased for his brother.
“It seems that the two of them have healed the rift and are very much back on their old buddy terms.
“Meghan’s distance from Kate has also helped heal the friction bet the two men.”
The rift between the families once extended to Kate and Meghan's relationship with Meghan previously claiming that Kate made her cry during a bridesmaid dress fitting for her 2018 wedding.
The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex's decision to take a step back from the family calls has seemingly helped the two brothers patch their own relationship.
It comes as Harry and Meghan are expected to throw a small party for Lilibet’s first birthday, who will turn one on Saturday June 4, at their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage – a short drive from the Queen’s castle apartments.
William and Kate aren’t expected to attend due to prior engagements but Harry and Meghan will host Lilibet’s godparents and close friends.
