Brendan Rodgers' men fell to a narrow 3-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of the German giants.
Nicolas Kuhn levelled the tie at the Allianz Arena, but Alphonso Davies popped up in the dying embers to put Vincent Kompany's men into the last 16 of the Champions League: "It's a cruel game sometimes," said a heartbroken Schmeichel (CBS Sports Golazo).

"Coming away to Bayern and, obviously, we go out, but we're disappointed with a draw. That says a lot about where this team is going."
After a prosperous European campaign in which they showed several green shoots of progress, Celtic now turn their attention back to the domestic scene.
A trip to face Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership lies in wait this weekend, with Rodgers' men currently 13 points clear of city rivals Rangers at the top of the table with 12 games to go.
A treble is the target for Rodgers and co. as they aim to end the campaign on a high.
