Rangers crock Neraysho Kasanwirjo is set to be recalled by Feyenoord despite being out for the season... so they can loan another one of their players out.
The defender was injured in November while playing for the Dutch Under 21s against England and suffered a serious knee injury that was expected to end his campaign.
He's still on Rangers books on loan until the end of the season where the Ibrox club have an option to buy the 22-year-old.
However, Feyenoord now want to recall him to get around red tape transfer rules in the Netherlands.
They want to loan out unwanted winger Luka Ivanusec to Dinamo Zagreb, but Dutch rules state clubs are only allowed to loan six players to foreign clubs and they currently have six on loan, including Kasanwirjo in Glasgow.
The solution would be to recall Kasanwirjo and pay his wages for the rest of the season, which would allow them to send Ivanusec to Croatia.
Kasanwirjo made 11 appearances for Rangers with the last coming in a 1-0 win against Heart of Midlothian in November.
